In an achievement in the fight against drug trafficking, Border Security Force (BSF), in a joint operation with the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI), has successfully seized a major consignment of Yaba tablets valued at about Rs 15 crore, officials said.

According to the official release, the vigilant BSF troops while carrying out a routine search operation on April 29, 2024, at about 8.00 am, observed a small drone along with a packet in a farming field in the border area of district Ferozepur.
According to an official BSF release, "Based on information on April 25, 2024, BSF intelligence set up about the presence of a drone in the border area of Tarn Taran district, a joint search operation by BSF troops with Punjab Police was conducted in the suspected area."
"On April 20, 2024, the BSF intelligence wing received information regarding the presence of a narcotics consignment in the border area of district Fazilka. Acting swiftly, BSF troops carried out an extensive search operation in the suspected area," said the release.
