Two Border Security Force personnel sustained bullet injuries from Pakistani rangers' unprovoked firing along the International Border Arnia Sector of Jammu, officials said.

Around 12:30 AM, BSF personnel detected suspicious movement near the bordering Simbal Sakol village in the Pathankot District. The intruder, identified as a Pakistani miscreant, continued to move towards the border fencing despite being challenged by the BSF troops.
"Sensing an imminent threat and to stop further misadventure, BSF troops fired upon the miscreant in self-defence, killing him on the spot," read the statement

As the shrine is located very close to IB, the BSF and local police had also made elaborate security arrangements in the area to ensure the safety and security of devotees.
During the subsequent search of the area, the BSF said that its troops recovered a "black coloured drone (Quadcopter, DJI Matrice, 300 RTK) alongwith a consignment containing three packets of suspected narcotics (Heroin), attached with it from the farming fields of Rattankhurd village.
