Two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans received severe injuries after they were attacked by Bangladeshi miscreants and villagers while performing duty in the security of Indian farmers on the international border.
According to BSF, this is the fourth instance of a Pakistani drone being spotted on the Indian side in the last three days and of the BSF jawans on duty firing at it and forcing it back to Pakistan.
Officials of the Border Security Force apprehended one Bangladeshi smuggler red-handed with 10 bottles of Phensedyl and other cosmetic items, officials said on Friday.
"Brave CT Ram Pratap Tetarwal @BSF_SouthBengal got severe injuries on the line of duty while fighting with smugglers in the bordering area of Distt Nadia(WB)," the BSF-SouthBengal tweeted.
According to BSF, this is the third instance of a Pakistani drone being spotted on the Indian side in the last three days and of the BSF jawans on duty firing at it and forcing it back to Pakistan.
A BSF personnel was allegedly beaten to death on Saturday night for protesting against the circulation of an objectionable video of his daughter, the Chaklasi police said, adding that they have arrested all seven accused in the case.

The Jawan who died was identified as GD Thorat Sudhir Pandhari Nath (33), a resident of Pune, Maharastra. He was posted in the horse wing of the academy.
