The 53rd Director General Level Border Coordination Conference will be organized by BSF at BSF Camp Chhawla, New Delhi. During this conference, the BSF delegation of India will be led by Sujoy Lal Thaosen, Director General, BSF.

Sanjay Sharma, Commandant 172 Batallion BSF welcomed 35 members of the BGB delegation led by Mohd Assadunnabi, Commanding Officer 19 BGB.
As part of the meeting, both sides discussed border-related issues that are relevant to the effective management of the Border. The discussion included joint efforts against trans-border crimes and measures to check illegal cross-border movements.
Both Border Security Force (BSF) and Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) also signed a Joint Records of Discussion after the conclusion of the conference in a cordial gesture earlier in the day in West Bengal's Kolkata.
During the meeting commanders of both the border guarding forces discussed various border related issues i.e trans-border crimes, illegal sand mining, illegal cattle grazing, etc.
