A fire broke out at a grocery shop on the ground floor of a three-storey building in the Raviwar Peth area of Pune City on Monday morning, said officials.
"The fire broke out in the ground of the under-construction building of the Central Secretariat, where an iron container and wood and some chemical items were kept. At present, the fire has been brought under control," said DFS officials.
Upon receiving the information, fire tenders rushed to the spot and started to douse the fire. After two hours of the operation, the fire brigade was able to bring the fire under control. No one was injured in the incident.
"We received information about a fire at a godown in Khoda Colony, this morning. Immediately, three fire brigade teams from Vaishali fire station, two from Sahibabad station and three from Kotwali station were rushed to the spot. A fire brigade team from Noida Sector 58 station was also call
