Four fire engines were rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Thane Municipal Corporation said that the four people injured in the incident are undergoing treatment in a hospital.
Giving details, CFO Ghaziabad said, "After receiving the information of fire in a scrap godown in the Raj Nagar area, three fire tenders from Kotwali fire station and two fire tenders from Vaishali fire station were rushed to the spot.
"The fire broke out in the dumping ground of Noida sector 32. Efforts are on to extinguish the blaze. All the officials are present on the spot," said Shakti Awasthi, additional deputy commissioner of police (ADCP) in Noida.
