Deepak Bhoria (51kg) and Nishant Dev (71kg) continued their scintillating forms at the ongoing IBA Men's World Boxing Championships in Tashkent, Uzbekistan as they stormed into the quarter-finals of the tournament with dominating victories on Tuesday.
Deepak started the bout slowly and took some time to get into the rhythm of the game but Bibossinov used it to his advantage and landed some punches. The Indian boxer ended the first round strongly and hit his opponent with a flurry of punches but lost by 2-3.
Akash was facing Fu Mingke of China in the round of 32 match. The Indian boxer was quicker than Fu, right from the start and landed some heavy blows on his opponent. Akash played from distance and evaded Fu's punches throughout the bout.
