A miscreant carrying a bounty on his head was arrested after an encounter with Uttar Pradesh Police in the Ganjdundwara area of Kasganj police station on Sunday night, police said.
Both the Naxals were active for the past many years and they were carrying a reward of Rs 14 lakh each on their heads. The police team also recovered 303 bore rifles from both the Naxals from the spot.
"A reward of Rs 25,000 has been declared on the arrest of Afsa Ansari, wife of Mukhtar Ansari, who is wanted in a case registered under the Gangsters Act at Police Station Dakshin Tola," Mahesh Singh Attri, Additional Superintendent of Police, Mau said.
A joint team of security personnel arrested four Naxals, including a cadre carrying cash reward, in insurgency-hit Sukma district of Chhattisgarh, police said on Monday.
