Punjab Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on Thursday raised concern about the cross-border smuggling of weapons and drones from Pakistan by saying that the state will have to be alert.
"Hearty congratulations to all Border Security Force (BSF) jawans - who are dedicated to serving the mother India and our safety shield, on the foundation day of BSF," Haryana CM Lal said in a tweet on Thursday.
Amid increased drone challenge on the India-Pakistan border, the Border Security Force (BSF) has shot down a record 16 drones so far this year; and the force has adopted the anti-drone system and in-depth patrolling to tackle the issue having security threats.
BSF IG Boora also mentioned that Jammu Frontier has been given the best Frontier trophy this year, and said, "I congratulate officers and jawans for that."
