"A valley bridge on the border road leading to the Indo-China border, 9 km ahead of Malari, has come under threat due to the rapid flow of the river," BRO Commander Colonel Ankur Mahajan said.
The Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory (UT) Administration has completed all necessary arrangements for the annual Amarnath Yatra, scheduled to commence on July 1, said the officials on Wednesday.
"Troops of Trishakti Corps, Indian Army and personnel of Border Roads Organisation swung into action and worked overnight in heavy rains and inclement weather to create a temporary crossing over the flash flood area to facilitate the rescue of tourists," the release stated.
