Maharashtra state road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has suspended bus services to Karnataka in wake of an alert from the police, sources said on Wednesday.
The exit-poll survey of Gujarat Assembly polls has indicated a full majority for BJP and it will have an impact on Karnataka also, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday said the State Cabinet will give its nod for direct recruitment of sportspersons for government jobs.

Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Tuesday exuded confidence in a BJP victory in Karnataka elections and said a victory in Gujarat assembly polls will increase votes in this state polls by at least 3 to 5 per cent.
Bommai's statement came after Maharashtra Ministers Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai postponed their scheduled visit to Belagavi. Patil and Desai were scheduled to visit Belagavi on December 3 but had postponed their visit to December 6.
A suo motu case was registered in Karnataka after wall writings (graffiti) of "Join CFI" (Campus Front of India), a subsidiary student wing of the banned organization PFI were seen in several parts of Shiralakoppa town of Shivamogga district.
"We have already communicated to them that it will create law and order problem, therefore, it's not the right time to come. I appeal to Maharashtra CM that the matter is in court and fight it legally," said Karnataka CM.
