The Supreme Court on Monday refused to stay the Bombay High Court verdict acquitting Delhi University Professor GN Saibaba and five other accused in a case in which he was accused of having links with the banned CPI (Maoist).
After coming out of jail in an alleged Maoist links case, former Delhi University Professor GN Saibaba said that there was no evidence against him and the case was false and fabricated.
A bench of Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justices JB Pardiwala and Manoj Misra posted the matter for hearing in the second week of April and asked the respondents to file the reply on or before April 1.
