The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) condemned the Waqf Amendments passed by Parliament, calling them an assault on Islamic values, religion, and constitutional rights. The Board vows to lead a nationwide movement until the amendments are repealed.
Bonai Hasni, General Secretary of the All India Ulama Board (AIUB), on Saturday voiced serious concern over the recently passed Waqf (Amendment) Bill, 2025, warning of its potential to undermine justice for all citizens in the country.
All India Muslim Women Personal Law Board has expressed its support for the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, which has been passed by Parliament, and urged the government to bring transparency in the working of Waqf board and ensure rights to women.
"It was a one-sided act, which has been misused by a few people. If the properties (of Waqf) are better used, it would help the poor Muslims. Now, with the new bill, which will become an Act, all the previous grievances will be resolved," Khattar told ANI.
"Now, no one can rob lands in the name of the Waqf Board... Public property and revenue lands will now be used to build schools, colleges, hospitals, or housing for the poor," Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said.
