Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Tuesday slammed the BJP's "double-engine" government in Maharashtra over the Nagpur violence. He said that the BJP could remove Aurangzeb's tomb in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar as the party is in power both in the Centre and the State.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray criticized the government over the violence in Nagpur, questioning its response to present-day challenges while focusing on historical figures from centuries ago.
"The Maha Kumbh that took place in Prayagraj was an occasion of devotion, where people from every village in India came. More than 60 crore people participated. The UP government made very good arrangements," the former Karnataka CM said.
Earlier today, the Prime Minister commended the successful organisation of the Mahakumbh in Prayagraj, attributing its success to the dedication of the public, administration, and devotees across the country and highlighting the collective efforts that contributed to the grand event.
Congress MP Praniti Shinde criticised BJP over the Nagpur incident, alleging that the issue, which dates back 300 years, was being used to divert attention from pressing concerns in Maharashtra.
In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's remarks on the Mahakumbh during his address in Lok Sabha, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal questioned the absence of senior Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra from the religious gathering.

The Delhi government is likely to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare related to the Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission on April 5, a press release said as per sources.
