The high-stakes Telangana Assembly elections, scheduled for Thursday, will witness a triangular contest involving the ruling Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), and the Congress.

The Election Commission of India on Monday issued notice to the Government of Karnataka for publishing various welfare schemes and achievements in the state of Telangana in several newspapers which has been seen as violation of Model Code of Conduct.

"People in Telangana have now decided that enough is enough and so they have decided to change the government. This is because people in Telangana have felt cheated. The emotion with which Telangana was formed has been insulted," Javadekar said.
