Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday said that the state government wants to ban polygamy in the state and has decided to form an expert committee to check for legal provisions for the same.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said, "Today, we have signed MoUs with various organisations, which will bring investment worth Rs 8,200 cr to Assam's economy."
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that his government has decided to celebrate the second anniversary of the current state government from May 9-11.
"Sonia Ji kept on working for 20 years just to take Rahul Gandhi to some position. A person who doesn't have his own guarantee, how can he give a guarantee to the people of Karnataka," the Assam CM said.
