PM Modi, who is currently in the second leg of his two-nation visit, arrived at Binhai International Airport in Tianjin on Saturday to participate in the 25th SCO Heads of State Council summit, taking place from August 31 to September 1.
PM Modi will participate in the summit deliberations and hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines. He is also scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin during the course of the summit.
As part of the bilateral talks, India and Japan also launched the Japan-India Artificial Intelligence Initiative, aimed at deepening collaboration in areas such as large language models (LLMs), data centres, and AI governance.
Addressing a joint press briefing after bilateral talks with his Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba, PM Modi said, "We welcome the collaboration between ISRO and JAXA for the Chandrayaan-5 mission. Our active participation has gone beyond the limits of the earth and will become a symbol
"We have set a goal of investment of 10 Trillion Yen from Japan in India in the next 10 years. Special emphasis will be laid on connecting India's and Japan's small and medium enterprises and startups," PM Modi said in the joint press conference after bilateral talks.
Xuan is visiting Nepal at the invitation of Vice President Yadav. Later in the day, she will hold a courtesy meeting with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli at his office, according to Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Visiting Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri on Sunday held bilateral talks with Nepali counterpart Amrit Bahadur Rai, discussing a wide range of issues to further bolster the relationship between the two nations.
Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of Panama, Carlos Arturo Hoyos, met Secretary (West) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Tanmaya Lal, in New Delhi for the bilateral talks.
Margherita also had fruitful discussions with his Eswatini counterpart across the entire gamut of India-Eswatini bilateral relations, covering key areas of cooperation such as Agriculture, Health, Foreign Affairs, and Economic Development.
