According to DSP Krishna Kumar Chandrakar, two Naxalites were killed in an encounter at Dantewada's Bijapur border area of Chhattisgarh today. During the search, the police seized two knuckle dusters, a large quantity of ammunitions.
The police forces are engaged in an exchange of fire with the Naxal insurgents in the jungles of Purangel, near the border of Dantewada and Bijapur in Chhattisgarh, sources said.
The Superintendent of Police, Gaurav Rai, confirmed the incident and said that the encounter took place between police officials and Naxalites in the border area of Dantewada, Bijapur.
