Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Assam this Friday to be a part of a series of events where he will lay and inaugurate several projects, besides marking his attendance at the Guinness World Records Bihu performance attempt by over 10,000 artists.
Assam is going to witness a historic moment on April 14 as over 11,000 folk dancers and drummers will perform Bihu dance together at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking on the occasion, CM Sarma said, "Assam is going all out its effort to set a Guinness World Record for the world's largest performance of Bihu dance on April 14 in Guwahati in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi."
Assam government has launched a publicity campaign in the national capital to celebrate the upcoming Rongali Bihu on April 14, where the largest demonstration in a single venue with about 11,000 Bihu dancers will perform, in presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
