Union Minister and LJP(RV) chief Chirag Paswan on Thursday cast his vote at a polling booth in Khagaria in the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections.
In response to the RJD's post on X, the CEO's office clarified that voting across the state was proceeding "smoothly" and that the Election Commission of India was "ensuring a fair and transparent electoral process".
Bihar had recorded a voter turnout of 13.1% till 9 AM across the 121 constituencies in the first phase. The Bihar elections are being held in two phases across the state, with the second phase happening on November 6.

The domestic stock markets opened flat on Thursday as investors closely monitored the Bihar assembly election voting. The outcome of the Bihar polls holds significant importance given central government dependence on coalition partners.
Khesari Lal Yadav appealed to voters to cast their franchise responsibly, asserting that their votes would determine the future of the next generation.
