Leaders of several opposition parties arrived in Patna on Thursday ahead of their crucial meeting which is aimed at forging unity for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls even as they face challenges in terms of turf wars in states
"Nobody can deny the fact that there are so many leaders in opposition who're much more experienced than PM Modi. Everybody will put forward their opinion in the meeting," Bihar Deputy CM told ANI on Thursday.
Delhi Police on Wednesday said they have identified the person, who allegedly made calls threatening to 'kill' Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
"Bahut garmi hai...sab baat hoga baad mein, abhi bahut garmi hai (It's too hot. Let us talk about all matters later)," Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said when a reporter asked him about Uniform Civil Code.
The PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) added that Kumar has always been a staunch opponent of the Congress party but because of fewer Congress leaders in Bihar, they were forced to accept Kumar as their leader. Krishna also talked about the weak representation of the Congress party in Bihar.
"The central government has the majority and can obviously prepone the Lok Sabha elections. They (BJP) might think that the opposition unity may affect them in the coming time, so they can prepone the Lok Sabha polls," Bihar CM told reporters.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has called a meeting of top Opposition leaders to mobilise the opposition against BJP ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The meeting will be held in Patna on June 23, a JD(U) leader said.
