Gulneet Singh Khurana, Senior Superintendent of Police, Bhatinda said, "Police are constantly on vigil. The police have also received a letter threatening a bomb blast at Bathinda on June 7 which is why the police have increased their vigilance in the crowded areas."
Police also submitted that remand is required to arrest members of Lawrence Bishnoi- Kala Jathedi gang by conducting raids in Delhi and various places in Punjab and to recover weapons that have been procured earlier by this syndicate from the arrested accused.
The anti-terror agency in close coordination with state police forces conducted these raids since early Wednesday at the premises and other places linked to suspects. The raids are still going on.
