Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced former MLA Bramhanand Netam as its candidate from Bhanupratappur which fell vacant following the death of Manoj Mandavi Netam, who was the sitting Congress MLA.
In a letter duly signed by the General Secretary Incharge of Congress's Central Election Committee, the party has fielded Savitri Mandavi from Bhanupratappur in Chhattisgarh and Anil Kumar Sharma from Sardarshahar in Rajasthan.
Bhanupratappur, an assembly constituency reserved for the scheduled tribes in Chhattisgarh, will go for by-elections on December 5 as the seat fell vacant for the death of Congress MLA and deputy speaker Manoj Mandavi.
