Visuals from the national capital showed that the North-East Delhi District Police along with paramilitary forces were patrolling and checking vehicles in Nand Nagri, Seelampur, Dayalpur, Sonia Vihar and Bhajanpura areas of Delhi. Patrolling is also on at the Connaught Place and Barakhamb
A class 12 student succumbed to injuries on Saturday, eight days after allegedly being beaten up by a group of people including another student here, Delhi Police said.
The arrested accused identified as Sohail and Jubair were apprehended on Thursday near Burari in the national capital, while they were trying to escape from Delhi to Punjab, the police said.
According to the police, the arrested person was identified as 18-year-old Bilal Gani, alias Mallu, a Bhajanpura resident. He was apprehended by the Special Cell of Delhi Police near the Signature Bridge around 2 am on Thursday.
Delhi police arrested a man in connection with the Bhajanpura murder case, in which 36-year-old Harpreet Gill was shot dead in Delhi's Subhash Vihar, Bhajanpura area, an official said.
Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Wednesday framed charges against six accused persons for allegedly attacking Hindus and damaging their property by setting them ablaze during the Delhi riots of 2020. This case pertains to the area of police station Bhajanpura.
The case is related to riot and arson at a car showroom on Main Wazirabad Road, Opposite Petrol Pump Bhajanpura, Delhi. The mob had also set the other vehicles on fire and window panes of the cars were broken.
A team of the Public Works Department (PWD) department reached the area along with security forces and started the removal drive at around 06.00 am. A heavy police force was deployed in the area to prevent any untoward incident.
