Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid the foundation stone and dedicated to the nation multiple infrastructure projects related to rail, road and petroleum and natural gas worth around Rs 12,800 crores in Bettiah in Bihar.
"The INDI alliance knows that it is going to stand nowhere in the elections. Seeing their defeat in front of them, now they have targeted Lord Ram," PM Modi said addressing a rally in Bihar's Bettiah as part of the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) preparations for the Lok Sabha polls.

A momentous occasion unfolded in Bihar's transportation sector as Sarbananda Sonowal, the Union Minister of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways (MoPSW), officially opened the Kalughat IWT (Inland Water Transport) Terminal and two community jetties in Bettiah.
Sonowal will lay the foundation stone of two community jetties in Bettiah, Bihar, on the Gandak River. Sonowal will also inaugurate 14 community jetties in Bihar and two in Jharkhand on February 15, 2024.
During this visit, PM Modi is also expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation stones for various projects, including roads and bridges, across Bihar, according to party sources.
According to the Bihar police, the accused surrendered at Jagdishpur police station in Bettiah due to raids by Bihar Police and Economic Offence Unit (EOU).
