Indian Super League (ISL) club Bengaluru FC, on Tuesday, announced the acquisition of English striker Curtis Main on a one-year deal, with an optional one-year extension, that currently runs through to the end of the 2023-24 season.
Bengaluru FC endured a dismal start to the ISL 2022-23 campaign, recording just three wins from their first 13 games. A poor run of results saw them slip to the bottom half of the league standings in the first half of the season.
Sandesh Jhingan joins on a three-year contract and will be the third Indian international to join the FC Goa ranks this summer, following the arrivals of Rowllin Borges and Udanta Singh.
Under his guidance, they achieved a commendable third-place finish in that season and went on to secure the coveted ISL title in the 2022-23 season, beating Bengaluru FC in the final in a thrilling penalty shootout.
The committee also rejected Ivan Vukomanovic's appeal against the fine of Rs 5 lakh and a 10-game ban imposed on him. In both cases, the Appeal Committee upheld the earlier decisions of the Disciplinary Committee.
Without a moment's hesitation, the Indian international signed a new five-year deal with Bengaluru FC on Wednesday, ensuring his stay with the club until the end of the 2027-28 season.
Moosa who worked at Bengaluru FC in a similar capacity and delivered positive results for the youth teams and will team up with Mandar Tamhane who joined the club as CEO last month.
