Panic was created after Mumbai Vidhan Bhavan received a bomb threat via email, leading to searches and evacuations. Police, including the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team, are present on the scene, officials said on Wednesday.
"We recieved a email yesterday which siad that there is a bomb in the Collectorate and it will be blown up at this hour. We called the BDS team and dog squad based on that, and every floor is being checked thoroughly. That includes old cars in the parking, and more." Kotwali DSP said.
Coimbatore has seen multiple hoax bomb threats this month. This was the third such hoax call targeting various institutions, including the district collectorate, courts, and other public buildings.
