"It is a very sad incident. There should be a high-level inquiry into the incident," Senior SAD leader Prem Singh Chandumajra said in a press conference in Chandigarh.
Punjab Police on Wednesday registered an FIR against two unknown persons in the Bathinda Military Station firing where at least four jawans were killed.
As per initial reports, the firing at the Bathinda Military Station appeared to be an internal issue since a rifle with ammunition had been missing for the last two days, Indian Army sources said.
According to sources all entry gates of the Army Cantonment in Bathinda have been closed. They said that one Insas rifle with 28 cartridges had gone missing about two days ago and some army personnel may be behind this incident.

As the massive crackdown by Punjab police against the elements of Waris Punjab De, including its chief and Khalistan sympathiser, fugitive Amritpal Singh, continued on Monday, locals across the State, spent another day under a security blanket without Internet services.
