Jamaica Tallawahs will meet Barbados Royals in the final of Caribbean Premier League. Tallawahs will now contest their third CPL final. They have earlier won in 2013 and 2016. Barbados are also looking for their third win, having won in 2014 and 2019. Barbados have also lost a final in 2015.
The Knight Riders won the toss and opted to field first and that decision appeared to have backfired when Johnson Charles' half century got the Kings off to a lightning start.
Barbados Royals have 14 points from eight matches, while St Lucia and Jamaica Tallawahs have eight points each, though St. Lucia are better in terms of Net Run Rate (NRR) and Trinbago Knight Riders are lying fourth with seven points and St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots are fifth with six points.
Miller has also recently captained South Africa (in a 3-match T20I series in August against England), and the Barbados Royals in the ongoing CPL season.
Ravi Rampaul impressed bowling against the Tallawahs batting as the seam bowler took four wickets including three in the Power Play to put the Knight Riders in complete control.
With six wins out of seven matches, Barbados Royals occupy the top spot in the CPL 2022 table, and the South African says he's loving life in the Caribbean.
The 38-year-old left-hander hung up his cricketing boots in 2019, the same year when he also lifted the Caribbean Premier League trophy with Paarl Royals' partner franchise, the Barbados Royals (then known as Barbados Tridents).
The 25-year-old has switched sides this season and will be featuring for the Barbados Royals, a team he also represented in the inaugural season of THE 6IXTY, which wrapped up on Sunday.
