This year, the Delhi Police IGI Airport Unit broke various fake passport syndicates operating across India. As of now, 19 foreign nationals, including 12 Bangladeshi nationals, and 23 agents, including one Bangladeshi national, have been arrested for flying on fake passports or visas.
In a decisive step to curb the rising number of illegal Bangladeshi intruders in the capital, Delhi Police conducted a comprehensive operation in the E-44 Jhuggis of New Seemapuri on Thursday, said a statement from Delhi Police.
"78 Bangladeshi national fishermen were caught the day before yesterday...and had been brought to Paradip Police Station...they were handed over to us for verification and it has been done. Procedures are underway to return them (to Bangladesh)," the DSP said.

The Border Security Force (BSF) has arrested three Bangladeshi nationals and an Indian tout along the Indo-Bangladesh border in Tripura. In a separate operation, a Nigerian national was also nabbed for trying to "exfiltrate to Bangladesh," the BSF said.
"Under a fascist government, the people of Bangladesh have been deprived of their rights. The whole of Bangladesh is burning...Today, Bangladesh is being destroyed," she added.
