Addressing a public rally in West Bengal's Kolkata, Shah said that the proposed act is the "country's law" and the Narendra Modi-led Central government is going to implement it at any cost.
Senior BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari on Tuesday was suspended for the entire winter session of the West Bengal Assembly for making alleged "objectionable remarks" against Speaker Biman Banerjee.
Abhishek Banerjee, as promised, also provided financial assistance to them from his end and highlighted that the protest will continue on a bigger scale in the coming days, sources from the TMC said.
"Despite so many warnings, so many people have come near Mamata Banerjee's residence. This shows that people are not scared of Trinamool Congress goons and are bent on uprooting them. We will put a stop to this," Sukanta Majumdar said.
After the CBI initiated an enquiry in the 'Cash For Query' to look into the allegations, West Bengal BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul on Sunday lashed out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Paul saying that its a "shame" that Mamata Banerjee is "supporting" Mahua Moitra.
Mahua is facing allegations levied by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey wherein the BJP MP alleged that the TMC leader asked questions in Parliament in exchange for monetary benefits and gifts from businessman Darshan Hiranandani.
"She (Mamata) has insulted the efforts of our Indian team, which has won the last 10 matches consecutively without a single defeat. What about their efforts? Is it only because of the stadium? Is it only because our Honourable Prime Minister was present there?" BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul said.
"They come up with new issues every day. Tell us about your work, corruption in West Bengal, Abhishek Banerjee, your minister in jail...You want to deviate the people from real issues," BJP leader RP Singh said.
"They (BJP) plan to expel Mahua. This will make her popular for three months. Whatever she used to say inside (Parliament), she will be saying outside. She will hold press conferences every day and speak outside. What difference will it be?" the Chief Minister said.
