A PIL has been filed in the Supreme Court seeking a probe into the triple train accident in Odisha's Balasore, by an expert panel headed by a retired judge of the apex court.
Union Minister of Education and Skill Development Dharmendra Pradhan who was present at the accident site on Sunday said that it is their responsibility to establish normalcy at the earliest and strict action will be taken against those responsible.

According to officials, this special train is being run to facilitate the victims and other passengers who were destined to go to Chennai but got stuck in Odisha after the accident on Friday night.
"The next of kin of the deceased will get the assistance of Rs 5 lakh and those who sustained serious injuries will get Rs 1 lakh as assistance," the Office of the Chief Minister (CMO) Odisha said.
