French President Emmanuel Macron on Saturday condoled loss of lives in the train accident at Balasore in Odisha and said his thoughts are with the families of the victims
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Jordan on Saturday condoled the loss of lives in the tragic train accident in Odisha's Balasore that claimed 288 lives.
"Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah has deputed a team led by Minister Shri Santosh Lad to ensure the safety of Kannadigas in Balasore train incident," tweeted the Chief Minister's Office.
"Two people from Kakdwip have been reported dead in the incident. Their names are Mayuddin Sheikh and Halim Mollah. 32 people here have been injured in the accident. We are in contact with the families of those who died and those who were injured. All possible help is being provided to them,
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis called Balasore train accident "very heartbreaking" and offered his condolences to the bereaved family on Saturday. Fadnavis further informed that he has cancelled all his public programs.
A Help desk has been set up at Bengaluru's Yeshwanthpur railway station for providing assistance to people following Train Mishap in Odisha's Balasore.
Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin announced an assistance amount of 5 lack for the family of deceased and 1 lack for injured in Balasore rail accident as he reached the State Emergency Operation Centre in Chennai to take stock of the situation.
Army teams have been deployed to assist in the evacuation and treatment of injured citizens in the Odisha triple train accident that claimed the lives of 238 people.
