Owing to the problems caused due to snowfall in Kedarnath and Badrinath and the rains in the low-lying areas, the late-night Chardham Yatris are being stopped by Srinagar Police in Srinagar itself.
Extending a hearty welcome to the Char Dham pilgrims this year, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Friday advised the devotees to plan for the pilgrimage only after clearing all medical tests, including for Covid-19.
In an initiative towards the cleanliness drive following the Chardham Yatra, the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) cleaned the premises of the Badrinath temple in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand on Thursday.
Badrinath Dham portals are all set to open their doors for pilgrims on Thursday at 7:10 AM. Ahead of that the temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu was decorated with 15 quintals of flowers. While the Chamoli district administration is seen busy with last-minute preparation for the Yatra.
