Congress leader and former India cricket captain, Mohammad Azharuddin, on Tuesday went door to door in the Jubilee Hills Assembly constituency ahead of the November 30 Assembly elections.
The Telangana Congress has said it would increase the budget up to Rs 4,000 crore annually towards minority welfare, besides conducting the caste census within six months after coming to power, if elected in the November 30 Assembly polls.
Speaking to ANI, Mohammed Azharuddin said, "Our party is strong here. BJP does not have much impact here. There is a Congress wave here. People also believe that Congress will do the developmental work."
