The Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra was launched by the Prime Minister on November 15 with the aim of disseminating information about the government's flagship schemes and ensuring their benefits reach every corner of the country.

According to an official press release, "The flagship scheme being implemented by the National Health Authority (NHA) provides health cover of Rs 5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care hospitalization to 12 Crore beneficiary families."
