In just over a week, five Baloch civilians were unlawfully killed in separate incidents across Kech and Awaran districts, continuing what rights activists describe as a pattern of impunity and systemic violence.
A citywide closure occurred throughout the Awaran district in Balochistan on Wednesday, with shops, businesses, and public areas remaining shut down in response to the killings of two civilians, including a woman, as reported by The Balochistan Post (TBP).
As per CPJ, masked gunmen entered Abdul Latif's residence in the Mashkay region of Awaran district on the morning of May 24 and fired multiple shots at him. Local authorities have stated that an inquiry is in progress, although the motive for the murder is still unknown, as noted by TBP.
