The Polish meet, to be held on 16th July, will have a strong field including Morocco’s Soufiane El Bakkali, the reigning Olympic, World, and Diamond League champion, 2019 Diamond League Champion Ethiopia’s Getnet Wale, and Kenya’s Abraham Kibiwot.
The reigning Olympic, world and Diamond League champion Soufiane El Bakkali from Morocco finished first with timings of 8:09.84. It was 13 seconds short of his season-best timings of 7.56.68 at Rabat.
According to Olympics.com, Avinash Sable will participate in the second Diamond League competition of the season. The 28-year-old Sable competed in the Rabat Diamond League leg in May where he finished 10th with a time of 8:17.18s in his first 3000m steeplechase race of the year.
It is the 62nd edition of the event and will serve as the final selection trial for Asian Games to be held this year from September 23 to October 8 in China.
