The Rouse Avenue court on Monday extended the interim protection granted to Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan till February 25 after hearing arguments on his anticipatory bail.
Delhi police on Monday filed a supplementary charge sheet against two accused Rohit alias Anna and Sachin Chikara before Rouse Avenue court. They are alleged to be associated with organised crime syndicate of Kapil Sangwan alias Nandu Gang.
The Rouse Avenue Court has allowed the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to separate trials in the AgustaWestland chopper money laundering case, citing delays and prejudices to accused already facing trial.
"What is more disturbing is the blatant and casual forwarding of the police report by the concerned SHO and ACP. Neither the SHO nor the ACP questioned the IO as to what took him 10 months when there was no investigation required to be done," the court said.
The Rouse Avenue court has convicted former Madhya Pradesh MLA Kishore Samrite for allegedly threatening to blow up Parliament with dynamite. However, he has been acquitted of the offence under the Explosive Act.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Paras Dalal dismissed the complaint against Bhagat Singh Koshyari and three others. One accused Prabhat Singh Chauhan has already died.
