Pakistan Supreme Court on Monday directed the Punjab police chief Faisal Shahkar to register FIR in the case of the assassination attempt on Former Prime Minister Imran Khan.
This comes in the wake of the assassination attempt on Imran Khan's life shot during his long march in Punjab Province's Wazirabad on Thursday. He has since held both the coalition government and military establishment responsible for the attack.
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) Haqeeqi Azadi march, which was halted after an assassination attempt on the former prime minister Imran Khan, would now resume on Thursday, instead of Tuesday as scheduled earlier.

The Islamabad Police on Monday warned that action will be taken against those who protest in the capital without the permission of the administration, Geo News reported.
Pakistan Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah said that Imran Khan is committing treason against Pakistan, after the PTI chief announced that his long march would be resumed.
Calling Nawaz Sharif a 'mastermind' behind the assassination attempt on the PTI chief, the complaint by the overseas Pakistanis read, "the assassination attempt on Imran Khan was planned in London."
Imran Khan was shot during his long march in Wazirabad on Thursday, leading to bullet injuries in his legs. A day later, the PTI chief said he knew beforehand that assassination was being planned against him.
