The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Wednesday intensified its security crackdown in Kashmir by attaching the properties of three accused linked with various banned Pakistan-based terrorist organisations.
Three properties worth Rs 41 crores were seized by the Enforcement Directorate, under Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) provisions, after the name of a businessman appeared in Panama papers regarding offshore entities, the agency said on Monday.
"The military or the defence attaches will now be deployed in countries where they can mainly help in increasing defence exports of the country including products from both the public sector and the private sector," senior defence officials told ANI here.
ED had initiated an investigation on the basis of FIR registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act and challans filed thereof.
