The Gujarat Assembly elections are all set to take place in two phases on December 1 and 5, the results of which will be declared on December 8, which will coincide with that of the Himachal Pradesh polling outcome.
"First phase of Assembly elections in Gujarat to be held on 1st December & second phase on 5th December; counting of votes to be done on 8th December," Rajiv Kumar said.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur said he previous Congress governments left no stone unturned to loot Himachal, while the Bharatiya Janata Party government developed every area.
"Today was the last day to withdraw candidate names and most of the Congress rebel candidates have withdrawn their names. Around 9-10 candidates have withdrawn their names. Only 2-3 candidates are left, and around 80 per cent of Congress, rebel candidates have withdrawn their names," said
