Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday announced the names of candidates for the upcoming Parliamentary and Assembly bypolls in Punjab and Odisha respectively.
In the latest trend, Indian National Congress candidate EVKS Elangovan is leading Erode East bye-election by 10,000 votes against All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam opponent K.S Thennarasu.
"Consequent upon which, the Commission having considered the matter, ground situation and all other relevant aspects of the matter, has decided to revise the date of poll for bye-elections to Assembly Constituencies 205- Chinchwad and 215-Kasba Peth of Maharashtra," it added.
