The 'Go Blue' campaign was initiated by UNICEF, the UN agency working on child rights across the globe. Participating in this international campaign, iconic landmarks the world over are illuminated in the blue colour to express solidarity with the cause of child rights.
The operation was carried out on Thursday night by a team of STF led by Parthasarathi Mahanta, DIG (STF) and Kalyan Kumar Pathak, Additional Superintendent of Police (HQ), Kamrup cum Additional SP, STF.

"During the operation, the police team recovered and seized 464 grams of heroin. Cash of Rs 1,92,350, one motorcycle, and two cars were also seized. One person has been apprehended in this connection," a senior police official of Nagaon district said.
