Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya attended the celebrations of the annual raising day of All India Civil Defence and Home Guards at Central Training Institute (Civil Defence and Home Guards), at Panikhaiti in Guwahati on Friday.
Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya graced the diamond jubilee celebrations of Sainik School Goalpara on Tuesday, congratulating everyone on this remarkable milestone of 60 years.
Governor Acharya was speaking at a counseling and preparatory guidance session for selected candidates of the Assam Civil Services Examination under the Pratibha Protsahan Yojana, held at the Krishna Kanta Handique State Open University (KKHSOU) in Guwahati.
Prime Minister of Bhutan, Tshering Tobgay, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya and other officials attended the inauguration event of Immigration Check Post (ICP) at Land Port Darranga in Assam, on Thursday.
"By doing this, India has aspired to create a world order based on the tenets of friendship," the Assam Governor said. "India's rich heritage and culture are deeply rooted in Sanatan values."
It may be noted that the nation observes Police Commemoration Day to honour the courage and sacrifice made by the police personnel to defend the nation.
While paying his respects, Governor Acharya said that Mahatma Gandhi's ideals of truth and non-violence continue to serve as a source of inspiration for generations.
