Japanese boxer Tomoya Tsuboi got the better of Indian pugilist Deepak as he crashed out of the Men's 46-51KG Round of 16 on Thursday in the ongoing Asian Games.
The girl, Neha Thakur, secured a total of 27 points after 11 races, clinching India’s first medal in the sailing event at the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, on Tuesday.
On Thursday, India won a gold medal in the Men's 10m Air Pistol Team event following which one of the shooters, Arjun Cheema, said that they had gone through all the ups and downs.
He bagged a bronze medal in Dressage Individual Intermediate I Freestyle by scoring 73.030 points. This is also the first individual medal for India in Equestrian.
The award was presented in Hangzhou, China during the 110-year celebration of the Olympic Council of Asia. According to the Bhutan Olympic Committee, the Bhutanese Prince also interacted with the athletes and coaches at the Asian Games.
Speaking to ANI, Sudipti’s sister Vidhi Hajela said, “We are feeling very proud. When the flag of our country is hoisted on such a big platform, the family is very happy. Sudipti has worked very hard for this, she has worked hard for 15 years.”
