Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary and Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Jay Shah on Thursday announced the cricket calendar of the council for 2023 and 2024 and a pathway structure for qualification to Men's and Women's Asia Cup.
Asked about the government's views on the cricketing ties between India and Pakistan at an event in the national capital, Jaishankar said there should be global pressure on Pakistan to end sponsoring terrorism and India will have to take leadership in maintaining that pressure.
Earlier in October, BCCI secretary Jay Shah completely dismissed the speculations of Team India traveling to Pakistan for the event and said that the Asia Cup would be held at a neutral venue

Roger Binny had said last month also that the board does not take decisions on its own on the Indian team's travel to Pakistan or other countries and relies on the decision of the government.
His comments come when Pakistan have threatened to boycott the 2023 WC due to Asian Cricket Council (ACC) president Jay Shah confirming that the 2023 Asia Cup will be held at a neutral venue instead of Pakistan
"The overall impact of such statements have the potential to split the Asian and international cricketing communities and can impact Pakistan's visit to India for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 and future ICC Events in India in the 2024-2031 cycle." read a statement from PCB.
BCCI secretary on Tuesday completely dismissed the speculations of Team India travelling to Pakistan for the event and said that the Asia Cup will be held at a neutral venue.
"The Asian Football Confederation (AFC) executive committee on Monday confirmed that the Qatar Football Association (QFA) is the host association for the AFC Asian Cup 2023," AFC said in a statement.
