Pakistan's former National Assembly (NA) speaker and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Asad Qaiser was released from jail on Wednesday following the withdrawal of his detention order under the Maintenance of Public Order Ordinance (MPO), Dawn newspaper reported.
It reported that the district and sessions court in Mardan granted him bail in the May 9 case against a surety bond of Pakistan rupees (PKR) 90000 but rearrested by Swabi police under MPO.

On Friday, Asad Qaiser was taken into custody from his home in Islamabad by police and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) over alleged corruption in procurement related to Swabi's Gajju Khan Medical College.
It has been learnt that former MPA Aqibullah Khan, who is Asad Qaiser's brother, ex-MPA Rangaiz Khan and Tehsil Swabi mayor Attaullah Khan also secured their bail before arrest from a local court on Thursday.
