The Anti-Robbery and Snatching Cell (ARSC) of the Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested two members of traffic-related fraud and extortion syndicates in separate operations, officials said.
The incident was reported on the morning of May 14, 2024, when the complainant found his mother unconscious and bleeding in her ground-floor room. He noticed her gold earrings, mobile phone, smartwatch, and purse containing cash and jewellery were missing.
The arrested accused have been identified as Chandra Dev Pandey(23), a resident of Delhi's Shashtri Nagar, Vivek Kumar (28), and Vipin Yadav (24) - both natives of Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, police said.
The ARSC team of the Crime Branch conducted the raid at a high-end society in Mumbai and arrested the accused, Sona Bansal, from there. Her husband, Atul Bansal, was however not found there and his whereabouts are being ascertained, officials said.
The two criminals have been identified as Ankit Dabas and Joginder Kala who were arrested by the team of ARSC/Crime Branch, led by Inspector Mangesh Tyagi and Inspector Robin Tyagi under the close supervision of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Arvind Kumar.
