Andhra Pradesh Crime Investigation Department (CID) police arrested former minister Ayyanna Patrudu from his residence in Narsipatanam in the Anakapalli district. Later he was taken to the CID office in Visakhapatnam.
On Tuesday, Delhi Police registered a case under sections of the Indian Penal Code against the owner of a footwear factory in Narela following a fire incident that left 2 dead and 18 injured
The father of the 23-year-old victim alleged that his daughter had been kidnapped by one history-sheeter named Shyam Lal Dangoria on October 27 night and was gang-raped by him and his companions in a hotel. She was also beaten by the accused, he said.
The case dates back to February this year when the Delhi Police arrested the 38-year-old retired Army subedar for allegedly posing as a policeman and raping the 19-year-old woman at a park in Dwarka.
"This illegal arrest was made just because Ayyanna Patrudu for the past few months have been strongly questioning and cornering the Jagan Reddy's government for the huge corruption that they have done in the past three and a half years, particularly in the Uttarandhra region".
Two persons were arrested for allegedly selling cow meat by carrying it in a sack in Chakkarbhatha locality under Chakkarbhatha police station limits of Bilaspur district
